Obituary of Steven Lee Williams, Sr.

Steven Lee Williams Sr., a cherished member of the Philadelphia community, was born on November 3, 1968, to the late Thomas Lee Williams and Gloria Mae Davis. He received his education in the Philadelphia School System and developed a lifelong passion for butchery, working at Catelli Brothers for 26 years and Fresh Grocer for 7 years. Beyond his professional skills, Steve was known for his profound dedication to enhancing the lives of others through his work, embodying both craftsmanship and compassion in his trade. In 1988 Steve met the love of his life Marquissa where their love story began, they were married in 1993. They enjoyed traveling, dating, trying new cuisine and simply just enjoyed life to the fullest for over 30 years. Steve's life was marked by his love for music and singing, showcasing his talents both personally and in community gatherings. His commitment extended into financial stewardship, reflecting his deep care for the well-being of his family and community. He was a devoted family man, deeply loving his children and grandchildren, always placing family first. His personal attributes of commitment, humor, and a readiness to travel highlighted his multifaceted personality. Steve was also recognized as a protector, a loyal friend, and a man who freely shared his wisdom with others. He led his own personal ministry, where he encouraged and imparted wisdom, making a significant impact on those around him. Steve leaves behind a loving wife, Marquissa, children Steven Jr. (Robin), Quiana, Darrah, godchildren Monet and Amena Taylor, and grandchildren Levi, Nigel, Noah, and Milan. His siblings Jerry, Sherman, and Theresa, along with his in-laws James and Lenora Brown, and a circle of nieces, nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews, also mourn his loss. Steve's life and legacy will live on among his family and will continue to inspire and resonate within his community, remembered as a beacon of love and support.
