As the sun set, the last chapter in the book of life closed for Harvey Robert Williams Sr. on August 31st, 2024, surrounded by family and friends,
Affectionately known as Harvey, given the name Flash due to his ability to outrun and swim anyone who would challenge him. He received several awards for outstanding swimmer and runner during high school. Born October 15, 1952, to the late Otha Williams and Ethel Weedon. He was the fifth child out of ten children. Harvey was educated in the Philadelphia public school system attending
Franklin high where he received his diploma. Harvey had developed a hobby for reading comic books and mystery novels and doing puzzles. He also had a love for video games
Harvey was blessed to develop a trade taught to him by his brother Otha which he developed himself to be one of the best auto body workers in the business. As Harvey continued to build on his craft, he soon learned he could make this into his career which kept him on the right track which again he contributes to his brother Otha. Harvey remained in the autobody until he retired.
Harvey met his friend/wife Leeanna on July 4th, 1980, and they married August 27th, 1983. With this union they had five beautiful children with each one bringing a child into their union. Their children Kenny, Demetria, Harvey Jr., Howard and Dianna. They also have three grandchildren Miles, Jazmine and Levi. Harvey was a man of integrity you can take his work to the bank. If there was a gathering and you needed to get there, he would make sure you got there and made sure you got home. Harvey never forgot his struggles and he made sure his children had the opportunities he didn't have. He led by example for his children he instilled the importance of honesty and integrity and always stressed the importance of education
