Obituary of Cynthia Elizabeth Portalatin

Cynthia Elizabeth Portalatin, 60, of Lansdowne, passed away on August 8, 2022 with loved ones at her side. Cynthia was born on October 6, 1961 to Elizabeth and Vance in South Carolina. She was the elder sister to Kenneth, Randy, Marty and Dana. Cynthia met her lifelong love, Manuel (Nick) Portalatin in the early 80s and went on to build a life filled with happiness, music, fun, laughter and true love. Cynthia and Manuel went on to have 3 children, Jennifer, Justin and Maria Elizabeth, subsequently adopting a 4th Jesus (JayJay). Cynthia's love for Keith, Manuel, and Viviana came later, each in their own time and way. The children forged their own unique bonds that will forever leave a mark. Cynthia's entire life was spent nurturing others. She loved fiercely as a sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In the late 90s, once her children were grown, Cynthia became a health aid in order to continue with her love of taking care of others. Cynthia retired shortly after the birth of her grandchildren. Cynthia insisted, "No one is watching any of my grandbabies but me!" Cynthia meant those words and helped to raise Manny, Noelle, Isabelle, Tristan, Aidan and Chloe. The beautiful relationship they each shared lives on in their hearts. Despite the miles between them Cynthia had a cherished bond with her grandchildren Gabby, Brianna and Joshua, growing closer by the day. She went on to cuddle and love so many as their honorary "Gramma Cindy". David, Alex, Eduardo, Melisa & Leo, Brenda, Antonio, Deliana and so many others were her babies. A life of love.
